Codices of the passed illuminate the distinction of one cultures subjugation of another. Stylistically the codices of Mesoamerican cultures represented the daily life of the elite. European influence changed the visual aesthetic for better or worse. My interpretation of the passed is contrasted with the notion of Imperial rule in contrast to the modern concept of Corporate Imperialism.
