The following series of paintings can be grouped into two categories. The first is what I refer to as the Glyph Series. I wanted to juxtapose traditional Mayan glyphs with todays modern day glyph the “tag.” Glyphs intrigue me as the markers of time and place.

The second series of paintings I refer to as Liminal Geographies. It is a series of paintings that are abstractions of places flanked by images of artifacts related to the places that influenced them.
